Writing

I have been a big reader my entire life, and a writer as well although that title is more difficult for me to accept. I was probably 10 when a friend and I put together a newspaper of sorts, just one issue, yet it was so magical! I’ve written lots of tech things, including working in and then running a documentation department at a computer company in the late 80’s. I am currently working on a book with the working title “Networking Your Way” and expect to get it to print by the end of 2024. It’s good to have goals! Here is where I am listing resources that authors may find useful.

  • A place to find a series of researched illustrations/writeups of women whose stories wouldn’t make the cut for animated kids’ movies, illustrated in a contemporary animation style.https://www.rejectedprincesses.com
  • Peter Shankman started something years ago called HARO- Help a Reporter Out. Unsure if he sold it or gave it away, whoever had it tried to monetize it and it flopped. So he started it up again, this time HERO, you can subscribe here. Media posts their needs and people respond to help.

    The only mechanic that could see me next day when I was stranded with a blown radiator hose. He was amazingly helpful, his belief is “leave it better than you found it” and so he went above and beyond. Highly recommend Danny.
